At Black Flag Barbell Club we provide the coaching, support and environment for our members to push themselves and grow. We want our members to look forward to training, even when they know it’s going to be hard. Stepping into the gym should be one of if not the best part of your day!

Our community is made up of people from all walks of life, from CEOs to students. Teenagers to more… *ahem*, vintage models. All of us are here to push towards our goals and support others doing the same.
Our coaches are experts with high level experience – from physiotherapy and exercise science to competing at the highest level internationally. They have the knowledge and experience to help you no matter what you’re trying to achieve – if you’re willing to put in the effort we’ll be with you every session along the way.

Strength training isn’t just for getting jacked and setting records. Strength is one of the core competencies of life and impacts your day at pretty much every level. Bringing the groceries in, carrying the kids or helping your mate move house – strength will have a large impact on your ability to do what you want physically no, and especially as we start to get older in life.
Strength training also helps change the focus from what your body looks like, to what your body can DO. This is a powerful change in perspective. As the weight on the bar increases over time, so will your confidence inside and outside of the gym (and, funnily enough… your body will change to!).
With our coaching memberships we handle all the programming for you no matter what you’re training for. Each member has a program that suits their current abilities and is guiding them in the direction of their final goal – whether that be weight loss and looking better naked, pushing their strength to new heights, or getting ready for a big hiking trip.
POWERLIFTING, STRONGMAN AND OTHER STRENGTH SPORTS
Black Flag Barbell Club has many members active in strength sports such as powerlifting. Competitions are a great way to focus your training and push your limits!
