Welcome to Black Flag Barbell Club
Strength training holds a special place in my heart. I couldn’t honestly tell you why I was drawn to it, but even as a kid in high school I wanted to be strong. I started lifting my mums dumbells, doing pushups and bodyweight squats after school every day. I got my first gym membership at university, and soon after had my own home gym that was open 24/7.
Training has been a constant in my life, with its ups and downs, but a constant nonetheless. It has helped me build confidence, meet amazing people, pulled me through some dark periods, and allowed me to help a lot of people improve themselves. It is not a hobby, but a pursuit of self betterment – meditation.
Black Flag Barbell Club is a continuation of that passion for lifting, and helping others on their own training journey. Whether you are taking your first steps into the gym, or have been walking that road for a while, Black Flag Barbell Club is a place of support and hard work.
