BarBelles – Raising funds for The Sanctuary
Last Sunday (the 27th of May) we held our first ladies only BarBelles event to help raise funds for The Sanctuary, a womens and childrens shelter in Castle Hill.
It was a great day, with 14 lifters stepping on the platform. There was a great level of ability shown by the competitors, lot’s of strength was on display! The winning total of 362.5kg by Veronica will see Black Flag donate $362.50. It was really fantastic to see so many strong ladies strutting their powerlifting stuff – some for the first time, some with experience under their belt.
Thank you to the competitors, volunteers and all those who came and supported/cheered. Of course a massive thank you must go out to everyone who donated to the gofundme, or bought a shirt to support the fundraising efforts.
